Step into the world of Wild Medicine Eco Mural 23 at Art on the Greenway: Wild Medicine Unveiled— an unforgettable evening celebrating the unveiling of four community-created mural panels in an immersive experience filled with art, movement, and music.
From aerial dance to live R&B, electric cello, and fine art models, this signature event brings the mural series to life in theatrical fashion — honoring the stories, creativity, and connections that have blossomed along the Kennett Greenway all year long.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the Kennett Area Park Authority (KAPA) — supporting the establishment and maintenance of native plantings along the Kennett Greenway trails, including at Anson B. Nixon Park, the future home of one of the Wild Medicine murals.
Your ticket isn’t just admission to a spectacular event — it’s an investment in biodiversity, public art, and cultural heritage for years to come.
About the Wild Medicine Mural Series
The Wild Medicine Eco Mural 23: Kennett Trails series continues the artistic journey first sparked by Wild Medicine: Eco Mural 20 at Artelo—a collaboration between Hagopian Arts and Square Roots Collective that celebrates the intricate connections between plants, pollinators, and people.
Now, the story expands from wall to trail, bringing the message of interconnection to the Kennett Greenway, where community members contributed their brushstrokes to four public art panels that highlight the powerful relationships between native species and human wellbeing.
Each mural weaves together:
The healing properties of local medicinal plants
The roles of pollinators in sustaining ecosystems
The cultural significance of flora and fauna—particularly within Indigenous traditions
And the vulnerability of biodiversity in the face of habitat loss and climate change
As in the original Artelo installation, Wild Medicine Eco Mural 23: Kennett Trails seeks to inspire conservation, spark dialogue, and deepen our collective sense of place—transforming the trail into a living classroom and canvas for shared storytelling.
Visitors will find QR codes on each panel, linking to interactive webpages with plant guides, ecological context, and cultural history to continue the learning beyond the mural.
Together, these works invite us to slow down, look closer, and recognize the beauty and balance that connect us all.
